Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using FindPlayPlace and what you can expect from us. By using the app, you agree to these terms.

FindPlayPlace helps parents find safe places nearby for their children to visit — parks, playgrounds, and other family-friendly spots, including restaurants with play areas. Some information in the app is contributed by other users. These terms cover both using the app and contributing to it.

Using the App

You may use FindPlayPlace to browse places, see whether they have playgrounds or play areas, and contribute what you know. Use the app for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, or access it in ways the app does not offer.

User-Contributed Content

Places, reviews, photos, and reports are contributed by users. Before you submit your first place, you must accept our End User License Agreement, which requires signing in with Apple. The EULA states our zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users.

Public listings show only content that has been approved. Content that is pending, reported, or removed is not shown to other users.

How We Filter Content

We do not wait for a complaint before we check what gets posted. Every place, review, and note is screened by an automated safety check before it is published. The check looks for content that is objectionable, abusive, hateful, sexual, or otherwise unsuitable for a family app, and for submissions that are not really public places a family could visit. Anything the check is not confident is safe is held for a person to review instead of being shown to other parents. If the check is ever unavailable, content is held — never published by default.

Photos get an added layer. Before a photo leaves your phone, the app automatically obfuscates the faces it can detect. Automatic detection is best-effort and can miss faces, so we encourage you to blur any remaining faces yourself — and by posting a photo that shows a person's face, you confirm you have the right to share it and you release any privacy claim over the faces it contains. The photo is then screened for nudity or sexual content, graphic violence, illegal content, identity documents, and images that would reveal a private home. Only a photo that passes the screen is ever stored or shown.

Reporting and Moderation

Screening is not the only safeguard — you can report content too. If you see a place, review, or photo you believe is objectionable, report it. Reported content is hidden from public view immediately, pending review. Our team reviews reported content and acts on it within 24 hours — restoring content that does not violate our rules, or removing content that does.

You can also block another user to hide their content from your view. Blocks are private.

Accounts and Bans

Contributing content requires signing in with Apple. If you post objectionable content or abuse other users, your account may be banned. A ban is tied to your Apple ID and persists across reinstalls. A banned account cannot contribute content; browsing remains available.

Accuracy

Play-area information can change, and user-contributed reports may be out of date or wrong. We do our best to keep listings useful, but we do not guarantee that any place has a playground or play area at the time you visit. Confirm with the place when it matters.

Contact

Questions about these terms, a moderation decision, or anything else? Email our team at support@findplayplace.app. We act on reported content within 24 hours.

Child Safety

You must be 18 or older to submit content. FindPlayPlace prohibits child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child exploitation, screens uploaded photos, and preserves and reports apparent CSAM to NCMEC and law enforcement as required by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. §2258A). See the End User License Agreement for details on what is preserved and reported.

Changes to These Terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we will update the Last updated line at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
